Overview
Snytro Receipts is designed so that receipt files and receipt summaries are stored in the user's own Google account, not on a Snytro-owned receipt storage server.
The app helps users:
- Photograph or attach receipt files.
- Enter receipt details.
- Save receipt files to Google Drive.
- Write receipt summary rows to Google Sheets.
- Organise receipt records by financial year.
Snytro Receipts is not accounting software, tax lodgement software, legal advice, financial advice, or tax advice.

- Let you sign in with a Google account.
- Create or find a Snytro receipt folder in your Google Drive.
- Create or find financial-year folders in your Google Drive.

Google Drive and Google Sheets
Snytro Receipts uses Google Drive and Google Sheets only with your permission.
Receipt files are uploaded to your own Google Drive.
Receipt details are written to Google Sheets in your own Google account.
You control your Google Drive files, folders, Sheets, and sharing permissions.
If you choose to share a financial-year folder, receipt file, or Google Sheet with a tax agent or another person, that sharing is controlled by you through Google Drive and Google services.
Snytro does not control the people or organisations with whom you choose to share your Google Drive files or Google Sheets.
Google access scope
Snytro Receipts is designed to request limited Google Drive access for files and folders created or opened by the app, rather than full Google Drive access.
The app is not designed to scan your entire Google Drive.
The app is not designed to read your Gmail.
The app is not designed to access your bank accounts, payroll systems, contacts, or precise location.
You can revoke the app's Google access from your Google Account settings at any time.
Local device storage and cache
The app may temporarily store receipt files and receipt details on your device to support:
- Review before saving.
- Offline use.
- Sync retries.
- Recent receipts display.
- App settings.
For example, a receipt photo or PDF may remain on your device until it has been uploaded to Google Drive.
The app may also store local receipt metadata, such as receipt ID, receipt date, merchant, amount, category, notes, currency, sync status, Drive file ID, Sheet ID, and settings.
The current version may keep a small rolling cache of the last 5 receipt entries in the app so that recent receipts can be shown. This cache is stored on the device.
The local recent receipt cache is cleared when you disconnect your Google account, log out, or switch account within the app.
If you uninstall the app, local app data may be removed from your device according to Android system behaviour.
Depending on your Android device settings, Android system backup or device transfer features may back up or transfer some local app data. This is handled by Android and Google, not by a Snytro-owned receipt storage server.
Text recognition, AI, and automation
The current version of Snytro Receipts is designed as a simple manual receipt organiser.
The current version does not send receipt text or receipt images to:
- AI chat systems.
- Large language models.
- Paid cloud OCR services.
- Snytro-owned backend extraction services.
If a future version introduces optional AI, OCR, or smart extraction features that send receipt data outside the device or outside your Google account, Snytro will update this Privacy Policy and any required app disclosures before releasing that feature.
Users remain responsible for checking and confirming all receipt details before relying on them.
Google Play Billing
Snytro Receipts may offer a Lifetime Basic Unlock through Google Play Billing.
Payment processing is handled by Google Play.
Snytro Receipts does not receive or store your full payment card number.
The app may store whether Lifetime Basic Unlock has been purchased or restored so that paid access can be recognised.
The Lifetime Basic Unlock applies to the current basic manual receipt features described in the app at the time of purchase. Future optional premium features may require a separate purchase or subscription.
What the app does not access
Snytro Receipts does not:

Receipt summary data remains in your Google Sheets until you delete it or change the relevant Sheet.
Local app data may remain on your device while the app is installed and while the relevant Google account is connected.
Local app data and recent receipt cache are cleared when you disconnect your Google account, log out, or switch account within the app.
Google Play purchase records are handled by Google according to Google Play's own policies.
Support emails sent to Snytro may be retained for support, legal, security, or business record purposes.
